The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos is seeking to employ a suitable and qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Assistant in its Health Unit (HU).


BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

The incumbent serves as Administrative Assistant to the Regional Medical Officer (RMO), the Regional Medical Technologist (RMT) and the Nurses in the HU. S/he also serves as liaison between the HU and other departments within the Mission and the regional posts. Duties are to: Prepare the monthly utilization reports for HU and the status reports for the regional posts, which at times are complex; prepare and submit annual travel budgets for both the RMO and the RMT; coordinate the administrative aspects of medical evacuations going to Europe, the United States, and other MEDEVAC Centers, and hospitalizations; assist with ordering supplies and receiving shipments; and provide support for general HU functioning. The Administrative Assistant position involves significant individual initiative and responsibility. The position frequently requires performance of other duties as assigned by the RMO or RMT.

Qualities needed
